What's the name and meaning of the Chinese festival happening in Singapore right now?

Saturday is the first night and it goes for a few more nights. There's lots of drumming, chinese opera, tattooed men in colourful outfits in trances, people lighting joss sticks etc. etc.





I've asked people there what it's about but didn't really get a response. Does anyone know?

Sunday 15.March is Chinese Calendar day as 19.-Feb. is Second Buddhist " big " day , next to Vesak Day, one of the Buddhist God " Kun-Yin " birth Day, people believe during 19 Feb when Kun-Yin birth day,is a good day, the God will bring Luck and " MONEY " to every body, if you pray to Kun-Yin and the coming year, you can be Rich and every things will be Find, all Bad things will gone, Luck will always follow you. There will be more than 20,000 people visit to the Mose popular Kun-Yin Temple in Queen Street, to pray for own , family ,friends,. During Chinese calendar month of Feb. people also believe this is the best month to pray to other God for " Money Luck " so mose of the place in this month you will see other small Temple continue pray for few day, even up to a week.show Chinese Opera to Thank God.
