Name meaning?

i was wondering what my brothers name means and mine.

ashleigh joy smith

alexander james smith

if you can tell me what they mean in as many different languages as you can that would be a great help.

Name meaning?
Ashleigh is derived from the Ash Tree Field and is English in origin. Joy is Latin for Happiness.

Alexander is Greek for the defender of men. James is Hebrew for Supplantar.

Smith as a last name would be English and could entail the title given to your ancestors based on their trade.
Reply:I suugest you use the internet to locate a name derivation site. I'm certain you will find your answers.
Reply:it means that your father's father was a Smith, and then when he had your father, he became a Smith, and now your a Smith too, unless you get married, and take you husban's name.
Reply:Well Alexander means protector of mankind and James means one who supplements and Smith means Blacksmith. I couldnt find your first name meaning but Joy means one who brings happiness. I hope I helped.
