It is spelled correctly. Though it is possible it is "made up," I have seen more than one occurence of the name leading me to believe it is a rarely used name with both meaning and origin.
What is the etymology, i.e., the origin and meaning, of the name "Idalid"?
I found this:
mi padre me dijo que significa amo y señor
es de origen Arabe,
"My father told me that it means lord and master, it's of Arabic origin"
I have to say, though, that it doesn't look like an Arabic word or name.
